The purpose of the document is to provide basic information on how to use autofix in Patch and Compliance Manager.
To ensure that autofix works, please make sure the configurations below have been properly set up:
- In Agent configuration | Standard LANDESK Agent | Global Settings, ensure "Never autofix" is not selected
- In the Distribution and Patch section, check which Distribution and Patch Settings are used. Click Edit on the Distribution and patch setting that is listed.
- In Security and Compliance Manager, right-click on the definition(s) you could like to auto apply to client machines, then select Autofix
- If you have different computer scope created, then in the filter, you will be able to see different scopes within the "Select Scope" drop-down menu.
- Selecting any scope, you will be able to see there is autofix(global), and autofix(current scope).
The following are the differences for these options:
- Enable global autofix: This will put the definition into the Autofix(global) folder, no matter which scope you selected, you can always see this definition. That means, this patch will be autofixed on all client devices.
- Enable autofix for all scopes: This will put the definition into the Autofix(current scope) folder, no matter which scope you selected, you can always see this definition. That means, this patch will be autofix on all client devices contained in created scopes.
- Enable autofix for the current scope: This will put the definition into Autofix(current scope) folder, only when you select the current scope, will it show you the definition in that folder. That means this patch will be only "autofixed" on all client devices contained in current scope.
