What is the LANDESK Custom Patch Content program?
Microsoft Windows XP completed extended support on April 8, 2014 and Windows 2003 on July 14, 2015. Large customers have had the option to purchase custom support for continued security patch updates. LANDESK likewise provides a custom support offering that enables customers to receive patch content to assess and remediate patches received directly from Microsoft.
How does the LANDESK Custom Patch Content program work?
Licensed customers will provide LANDESK with patches for analysis to develop custom content to assess and remediate. Please note that LANDESK does not have the right to redistribute patches from Microsoft’s customer support programs. LANDESK will only provide content for patches that have been submitted for analysis.
This custom support offering enables customers to receive patch content via the Security and Patch Manager tool to assess and remediate patches they have received directly from Microsoft.
How will a customer receive updates for the LANDESK Custom Patch Content?
Upon purchase, customers will receive instructions on how to receive updates for custom patch content.
How much does LANDESK Custom Patch Content cost?
LANDESK Custom Patch Content is licensed per operating system on a 1-year subscription. The cost per licensed operating system is MSRP $40,000.
What type of patches are covered via the LANDESK Custom Patch Content?
Any Microsoft patches related to the purchased customer support program (Windows XP or Windows 2003) that are submitted to LANDESK will receive content. Upon receiving the required patches and bulletins, LANDESK will provide the customer with Windows XP and/or Server 2003 patch content that can be imported into their Security and Compliance tool in LANDESK Management Suite
How is LANDESK Custom Patch Content supported?
Customers with an active subscription can use the standard support channels on any content delivered.
