Problem: How do you schedule a Security Scan to run on a client.
Resolution: You can use the Create a task option in Security and Patch Manager to create a scheduled task that will run the security scan.
- Open a 32bit Management Suite Console.
- Click on Tools | Security and Compliance | Patch and Compliance
- Click on Create a task.
- Click on Security Scan.
- Give the task an appropriate name.
- Select Create a scheduled task.
- If the scan requires a specific Scan and repair setting select it here.
- This setting will only run for the scheduled tasks. It will not override the default setting on the client.
- Click ok.
- A Scheduled Task will be created. .
- Drag the appropriate computers to the scheduled task.
- Right click on the Task and Click properties.
- Click on Schedule task.
- Make the Desired changes on when you would like the scan to run and click ok.
Note: If the Start Now or Start Later radio buttons are grayed out, you need to make sure that you have added computers to the scheduled task.
