About Patch and Compliance content vulnerability definition title suffixes

This article describes the meaning of the suffixes used in the titles of Patch and Compliance Manager vulnerability definition content.

 

Various suffixes are given to Patch Manager vulnerability definition titles to help more accurately describe their purpose.

 

The following table shows the suffix, it's meaning, where it is used, and an example:

Patch cannot be downloaded automatically through Patch Manager. 

Patch must be downloaded manually and placed in the patch storage share.

_Detect_Only

Definition can only be used to detect a vulnerability.

Remedation of the vulnerability is not available.

The definition properties - Description tab may have more information.

All definitions for vulnerabilities that cannot be

automatically remediated using LANDesk

Patch Manager but can be detected.
