This article is aiming to provide basic information on how to use autofix in patch manager. To make autofix working, please make sure the configurations below have been properly set up:
1. In agent configuration | Security and Compliance | Patch and Compliance Scan, please ensure "Never autofix" is not selected
2. Still in the same section, please check which scan and repair settings is used. Open the scan and repair settings | Scan Options, please select "Enable autofix"
3. In Patch and Compliance, right click on the definitions you could like to auto apply to client machines, then select enable autofix.
There are 3 options in this part, here I would like to introduce about the differences among them. First of all, please be aware that if you have different computer scope created, then in the filter, you will be able to see different scopes
Selecting any scope, you will be able to see there is autofix(global), and autofix(current scope).
Okey, now, please find the differences below for those 3 options:
- Enable global autofix - This will put the definition into Autofix(global) folder, no matter which scope you selected, you can always see this definition. That means, this patch will be autofix on all client devices.
- Enable autofix for all scopes - This will put the definition into Autofix(current scope) folder, no matter which scope you selected, you can always see this definition. That means, this patch will be autofix on all client devices contained in created scopes.
- Enable autofix for the current scope - This will put the definition into Autofix(current scope) folder, only when you select the current scope, it will show you the definition in that folder. That means, this patch will be only autofix on all client devices contained in current scope.
