Microsoft antimalware support for Windows XP
* We've received some inquiries about what "no longer supported operating system" means. To clarify, this mean that, after April 8, 2014, Windows XP users will no longer receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft.

LANDESK's Post-EOL Plan for Windows XP Patch Content
If Microsoft does release publicly available updates, LANDESK will continue to support these updates and release patch content for them per the plan below.
This is dependent on having access to the MS security bulletins and associated executables.
- LANDESK will not provide the Windows XP vulnerability definitions within a 48 hour window – the priority is non-EOL supported Patch Tuesday security bulletins and the non-security bulletins for phishing filters and updates for Windows mail applications. Windows XP EOL vulnerability definitions are provided within a week of release, usually the Friday of Patch Tuesday week or the following Monday.
- LANDESK creates the Windows XP vulnerability definitions but will not provide the patch executables, due to licensing restrictions. LANDESK will create the vulnerability definitions with the necessary information like patch name, hash, and installation commands. The customer is required to have legal access to the patch executables and will need to manually copy the patch executables to the LANDESK core server for normal patch process remediation.
- LANDESK vulnerability definition content is made available through the normal Patch and Compliance download method.
