Hi all,
We have noticed that our reboot tasks in LD 2016 is not acting the same as with LD 9.6. Here is our configuration:
1. Default Reboot Settings in agent > Act as reboot NEVER needed.
2. Task settings created via Patch Manager console > Act as reboot Always needed (with message and deferral option).
In LD 2016, task always returns "Reboot not needed or not allowed" - In LD 9.6, reboot message comes up and device restarts. So it looks like in 9.6, the task settings would override the default which is what we would expect to happen but in LD 2016, that is not the case.
So another test - I changed default reboot settings on a device to be "Detect if reboot needed" and pushed a task with "Always reboot" - result was the same - reboot not needed/not allowed.
Is anyone else seeing this? We want for force regular reboots on devices but after hours and not have reboots kick off if software or a patch is installed during regular hours.
Thanks
